This two-day event is the perfect way to \nlearn what this fun new sport is all about and practice taking part in a show in a relaxed \ninstructional way. \nOn Saturday\, Emily will be offering private or small group lessons on which ever of the three \ntrials you wish to focus on. The Sunrise Ranch Ease of Handling course is designed \naccording to the official WE requirements and Emily Kemp will walk you through how to \naccomplish each obstacle with excellence. \nThe new SRR dressage arena has a spectacular view of the White River Valley. Here Emily \nwill walk you through the new 2022 WE Dressage pattern or coach you in how to tackle the \ncattle trial. Here at the Sunrise Ranch raises Scottish Highland cattle\, and working them \nfrom horseback is a skill we are enthusiastic to encourage through Working Equitation. \nOn Sunday you get to put all three phases together in the Schooling Show. Run like a \nlicensed show\, the schooling show offers you and your horse the chance to experience \ndoing each part\, Dressage\, Ease of Handling\, and Cattle Trial. You may even have a \n“caller” guide you through the order of the course to support your navigation. \nWe will be limiting entries to this schooling show so be sure to sign up early. DESCRIPTION:Come and see what this exciting and fast growing sport is all about! \nWorking Equitation has 4 phases\n•Dressage\n•Ease of Handling\n•Speed\n•Cattle \nDay One:\nThis workshop will be geared mainly towards understanding the Ease of Handling phase\,(obstacles used to evaluate the horse and rider’s dressage skills)\, but all phases will be discussed. Riding portion of the clinic will focus on proper and safe introduction and execution of each obstacle. \nDay 2:\nWill start out focusing briefly on the Dressage phase and then a schooling show which will be videotaped and each ride re watched as a group with Emily’s comments as we watch. Copies of each ride will be sent to riders. Riders will also leave with written comments and score sheets from their schooling rounds. \nWorking Equitation is a great sport for ANY horse or rider. It gives the horse and rider a job\, focus and purpose. It also helps riders to set and reach their goals. DESCRIPTION:We’ve constructed an over-the-top\, regulation obstacle course for the Working Equitation Shows\, Practice Sessions & Mini clinics. The obstacles are key to practicing the Ease Of Handling and Speed Trials within Working Equitation. Our entire course or several obstacles will be set during each practice session for Team KarMik members. We will provide different setups with varied obstacles at each session. Come to one or come to all of the practice sessions. You can come to just have some fun with the obstacles or come with the intention of going on to compete and test your skills at schooling shows\, B-Rated\, Regional or National levels. The sky is the limit. We assure you our practice sessions and course will prepare you for anything you want to do in Working Equitation. Come join the fun. Look forward to seeing you. Cost is $40 per practice session with coaching included. \nSessions run from 11-2PM unless otherwise noted.
