SUMMARY:WI: Working Equitation with Amy & Summer Star
DESCRIPTION:Working Equitation with Amy & Summer Star \nAmy and Summer Star are coming up from Tucson\, Arizona a day early to work with us and out horses one on one. Visit our website for further details. \nWe enthusiastically welcome you to another series of Working Equitation events here at The Sunrise Ranch in Mason\, WI! Be sure to visit our website for our full calendar both of WE events and other equestrian opportunities. Last year we enjoyed having WE judge Amy Star up here to officiate so much\, that we have asked her to return\, but also bring along her accomplished daughter\, Summer Star. Summer is a skilled equestrian and WE competitor (even representing the US in the international WE competitions in 2022) and she has agreed to offer private lessons at the SRR on Friday before the shows. This is your chance to have an advanced WE competitor observe your partnership with your horse and then ride your horse herself to give you detailed coaching on how to advance your performance.\nBoarding for competitor’s horses at the SRR is open-air covered stalls in a sand footing and the competition arenas are brownstone grit over road fabric; optimal for performance riding. The SRR has miles of riding trails and they welcome LQ campers to stay on the grounds and utilize showers and amenities freely. Lodging is also available 10 minutes north in Ashland\, WI.\nBayfield County is home of Madeline Island and the Apostle Islands\, an extremely popular tourist destination in the Northland. The SRR welcomes you to make the most of your stay and board your horses on the ranch longer\, in order to visit their region of Lake Superior..\nThe Sunrise Ranch is a family-run working ranch and full-service equine breeding facility. They raise sport-type Morgans and Spanish crosses bred specifically to be engaging partners in competition. Visit their website for more details on the SRR stud. www.TheSunriseRanch.com

If you’re already competing\, she can help fine tune your developed skills in an effort to increase your scores at your next show. SUMMARY:NC: Working Equitation of North Carolina Fall WE Camp at TIEC
DESCRIPTION:Working Equitation of North Carolina is pleased to announce the Fall WE Camp at Tryon International Equestrian Center (Mill Spring\, NC). The Winter Camp\, held last February\, was a marvelous success. Camp is being held in the Indoor Arena at TIEC and lasts for three days. Small groups of three teams will ride twice a day\, once in the morning and once in the afternoon\, receiving instruction from each clinician every day. Your horse’s stabling\, also in the indoor arena\, is included in the cost of camp. \nCamp tuition for WENC members = $675\nCamp tuition for non-WENC members = $725 \nRegistration Link: https://forms.gle/6AC6d4u75BMdMYxP9 \nInformation regarding auditing will be posted closer to the event. Send questions to WorkingEqNC@gmail. \nMeet our clinicians\, Jody Fontanetta and Polly Limond!! \nJody Fontanetta is a fourth-generation equestrian born and raised in Murfreesboro\, TN. Jody’s riding experience spans across many disciplines with dressage being the core of her training. She was a member of Stones River Pony Club for many years. Jody has trained and competed on the national circuit in dressage through the FEI levels and participated in the North American Junior Young Rider Program. She earned her bronze and silver medals with the United States Dressage Federation. Currently\, Jody runs a riding program for all ages with a focus on classical horsemanship at her farm in MiIton\, TN. In 2017\, she was introduced to Working Equitation and hasn’t looked back. She has earned numerous high point awards through Level 5 in Region 7. Currently Jody is competing at the Advanced level (L6) with her grade gelding\, Misty Morning Stash. Many locals were awed by her rides at the recent Summer Solstice at TIEC USAWE licensed shows in June. She is proud to be a forerunner in building interest and support for working equitation in the Middle Tennessee area. Jody is an “L” candidate for the USAWE Judge’s program and is also a member of the USA Working Equitation Coaches’ Network. She loves that Working Equitation gives classical training a purpose that has been lost in some modern disciplines. \nFor over 35 years\, Polly Limond was a dressage rider\, trainer\, breeder\, and importer in Southern California before recently moving to Mooresville\, NC. Since 2004 she has been selecting and importing sport horses from European countries including Germany\, Portugal\, Spain\, the Netherlands\, and France. Polly is a USDF Bronze and Silver medalist\, and a Sliver Freestyle medalist. Having trained several horses successfully through lntermediare\, she won Regional and National Championships plus has coached students to Regional and RAAC Championships and lifetime rider medals. \nPolly earned her WE Bronze Medal in 2017 and her Silver Medal in 2019. She has competed several horses through Intermediate B with scores up to 80% and was the 2021 Region 2 Level 5 Open Champion. Polly is an “S” judge and a licensed TD with USAWE plus an USDF “L” graduate with distinction. She has judged countless WE shows across the US and Canada\, and local schooling shows in classical\, eventing. western dressage\, and obstacle challenges. She is a sought-after clinician and is also a member of the USA Working Equitation Coaches Network.
