DESCRIPTION:In response to the incredible excitement our May clinic/competition combo has generated\, we’re delighted to offer another clinic/show combination at Fox Valley Saddle Association!\n\nPriority for the clinic will be for those new to the sport (for the purpose of this clinic\, defined as a horse/rider pair that has competed in 2 or fewer Working Equitation competitions). We’ll start by filling clinic spots with people who have limited (or no) experience in WE. After June 20\, we will fill remaining clinic spots with more experienced WE riders. The time stamp when your online entry is received will establish the order in which you’ll be added to the clinic spots as they become available.\n\nClinicians: \nJulie Alonzo has been actively involved in Working Equitation since 2010 and has competed at L1 – L5 on a variety of horses. She regularly travels to Portugal to enhance her knowledge of the sport and has attended multiple judge seminars taught by international WE judges. A USAWE Technical Delegate\, Julie has taught over 125 clinics in locations as distant as Australia and Canada as well as Alaska\, California\, Oregon\, Washington\, Idaho\, Montana\, Illinois\, Nebraska\, Louisiana\, New York\, Michigan\, Missouri\, Texas\, Utah\, and Florida.\n\nKristine Strasburger is a USAWE Technical Delegate and has taught Introductory Working Equitation clinics in Idaho\, Montana\, and Nebraska. She has competed in L1 and L2. DESCRIPTION:This Working Equitation camp will be specific to each horse/rider’s needs so it is appropriate for all levels of riders or any level of experience in WE. With two instructors you will receive a ton of personal time. Be prepared to ride! \nInstructors: Karen is Judge and Technical Delegate for the sport. She holds multiple National and Regional Championships as a competitor over the years. Mike holds multiple National and Regional Championships as a competitor and has his Silver Medal from USAWE. \nWe’ll start off your three day Working Equitation intensive with the Dressage Phase where we will run through the appropriate tests and movements. We will provide riders exercises to help improve your skills. \nOn Saturday we will focus on the obstacles. We’ll have riders practice their skills on each obstacle and then ride a few short practice courses in the afternoon. \nOn Sunday you will put everything together for a fun schooling show to test out your new skills. No pressure here – you can get as much or as little coaching assistance as you want to get you through the phases. DESCRIPTION:Spend two days receiving high-quality instruction at the gorgeous Fox Valley Saddle Association in Hampshire\, IL and then dive into the two licensed WE shows on the weekend! \nThe clinic will include dressage and obstacle instruction\, providing plenty of opportunity to hone your skills in preparation for the competitions to come. \nNo prior WE experience necessary! \nEnter for the clinic(s) and/or the weekend licensed competitions at: https://forms.gle/SjccEGXbhTEU98Hr9 \nMore Info: \n\nThursday – for those new to WE. Entry fee: $30 \nIf you participate in Thurday’s clinic\, you are encouraged to stay over and continue your education by watching the clinic rides on Friday. We’ll have some additional obstacles set up out of the lesson area to allow you to continue to school on Friday.\n\nFriday – anyone who has shown in WE in the past. Entry fee: $75 \n\nClinic stall fees (Thursday and/or Friday): $35/day\nShow Entry Fee: $300 to participate in one show; $400 to participate in both shows. This covers your stall (Friday 3 pm – Sunday\, end of show)\, your entry fee\, and lunch for one on each day you are signed up to participate. (meals will be available for purchase for family/friends as well). If you’re coming earlier on Friday\, we’ll need to charge you an additional $35 to add the stall during the day. \n\nYouth rider sponsorship\, sponsored by Working Equitation Oregon – $100 off youth entries if entering both shows! \nTack Stall During Show Weekend: $100 \nJust-for-fun Leadline modified Ease of Handling: $10 (suitable for young horses or riders who are not yet ready to go it alone). \n\n\n\nCamping spots with electrical hookups are available on site for an additional charge of $35/day\, and there is plenty of room for “dry camping” without electricity.To compete\, riders must be current members of USAWE\, and all horses must be recorded with USAWE. If you are participating for schooling only\, this requirement is waived. \n\n\nProof of negative Coggin’s test is required for all horses entering Fox Valley. Out-of-state horses should also have a current health certificate.
